I cannot believe it but it is true. May 24. A bit longer than a month from now, and Bonn will be gone. It was too too quick, I can hardly grasp it.

This last period has been hectic. Preparing the move, finishing all reports of last jobs, preparing whatever possible for the next ones, preparing my visit to Brazil, packing, sorting out, buying, selling, cleaning, washing, enjoying the beautiful days here.

This morning was the second big check at the tropical medicine clinic. Always good to know that everything is fine, HIV still negative, and cholesterol just at the edge... wir brauchen mehr Bewegung - we need to move more, says the doctor. Vaccines against polio, typhoid and rabies.

This afternoon, picnic with a group of Brazilian women, at the Rheinaue park. We hope to play frescobol, although the weather forecast says "thunderstorm" (in German, Gewitter)!

De volta. Back home. O Papa no Brasil pregando contra o aborto. And we keep thinking about deteriorating conditions in Zimbabwe!

Mozambique

I am still in Mozambique. Time running fast. Lots of work. Back to Germany soon. France's gone more conservative. Mugabe is confirmed candidate for polls in 2008. Brazil permanently striking me for its violence. A place where it is acceptable to have journalists killed. A place where the rich jail themselves inside luxurious condos. A place where a private bank increases its profits beyond imagination. A so called popular bank, by the way.
